About Geoff

Geoff is a Cleveland area singer, actor, director and songwriter who has written music for radio and television as well as the stage.  His jingles and parodies have been heard frequently on Cleveland airwaves. As an advertising and marketing professional, Geoff has worked to help community theatre groups market and promote themselves in new ways.  Through podcasts, blogs, online an on-air video and other new media outlets, he has reached new and larger audiences for various performance groups.  One of those ways has been his development of a weekly local cable television series, Call-Back – a reality TV type of program focused on local theatre.  Call-Back goes behind the scenes and documents the process of producing plays and musicals, often from the very first auditions all the way to opening night.

Most recently Geoff directed the musicals Violet and Dreamgirls both in 2007 and at the Cassidy Theatre in Parma Hts., Ohio.  Both productions were documented in Call-Back and can be viewed on Youtube (VioletBlog and Call-Back: The Dreamgirls Collection).  In 2008, he will direct the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical revue Some Enchanted Evening at Huntington Playhouse in Bay Village, Ohio and Assassins produced by The Berea Grindstone Players of Berea, Ohio at the Cassidy Theatre.  He has appeared in many musical theatre productions, most recently in the musical revue The World Goes Round (Brecksville Theatre on the Square).  Other productions include Five Guys Named Moe (Big Moe, Beck Center for the Arts) and Cassidy Theatre productions including Godspell, Carousel (Billy Bigelow), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Ken), Ragtime (Coalhouse Walker, Jr.), Cats (Old Deuteronomy) and Little Shop of Horrors (Voice of Audrey II).  Geoff also appeared in the 2007 Cleveland Playhouse Club cabaret Motown! and in 2006 developed his own musical cabaret act for Playhouse Square’s Cleveland Cabaret Project.

Geoff is proud to be the Board President of Cassidy Theatre, Inc. and also sits on the board of the Cooperative Alliance of Medina Entertainment Organizations (CAMEO).

Geoff has been the co-host of the weekly on-air television segment Cheap Date seen on WKYC TV3’s Good Company program and is also currently one of the lead singers of the band The Avenue.
